Description

Size: 11ft 2in x 7ft 5in (340 x 225cm).
A good Afghan village carpet of very firm weave, very hard wearing.
Circa 1940.
The carpet is of a clear red field with a darker red multiple border with ivory highlights.
The carpet is in excellent condition with very slight even wear and full pile. The carpet retains the original short kilim end finishes at both ends.
The carpet is suitable for heavy domestic use. This carpet is the toughest of all Afghan carpets, you could not wear it out in a lifetime. Ideal for a family room, it will withstand all pets, children and heavy footwear.
The carpet has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
