Description

Size: 6ft 2in x 4ft 11in (187 x 151cm).
Antique south west Persian Khamseh tribal rug by the Baharlu sub tribe of the Khamseh.
late 19th century.
The rug has three large linked medallions set in a Herati field, the drawing and colour throughout is superb with ivory ground spandrels. The borders are very fine with a lot of detail.
The rug is in fair condition with some patchy wear and low pile. The rug is suitable for light domestic use.
Hand washed and ready for use or display.
