Description
Size: 3ft 6in x 2ft 2in (106 x 66cm).Antique Tekke Turkmen chuval face with 25 chuval guls.
Circa 1870.
A good chuval face with five rows of five chuval guls on a clear madder red ground. The chuval face is of very fine weave with a feeling of good age. The main border is a classic Turkmen 'kotchak' design. The elem is of an 'angular' tree design.
Good condition with even wear and medium pile, The sides have been slightly reduced and re-bound.
