Description
Size: 11ft 2in x 9ft 0in (340 x 275cm).Old Anatolian Sharkoy kilim, Western Turkey of traditional design on a soft red ground. A kilim of large room size.
Circa 1920
Sharkoy kilims are also known as Sarkoy or Thracian, they originate from Western Turkey or the region known as European Turkey or The Balkans.
The weave is very tight and fine, the design is typical of the region, note the beautiful ivory coloured border.
A kilim with one of the most traditional designs, ivory border and a soft red field.
Very good condition with slight wear. Suitable for normal domestic use.
Hand washed and ready for use.
