Description
Size: 6ft 7inx 5ft 7in (200 x 170cm).Antique Khamseh tribal rug with two medallions and the well know 'chicken' or bird design. Note the numerous chickens and other birds along with many small animals.
Circa 1900/20.
The rug has two linked medallions in a madder brown / red on an indigo blue ground. The borders are of a classic Khamseh design. The rug is of a very useful almost square size.
The rug has even wear with medium pile, the rug is suitable for normal domestic use.
The rug has been hand washed and is ready for use or display.
